It doesn’t get much more American than that...

a Nash
and you gonna bring it to Japan?

If you had an 8-foot bed, you could have just put it in there.

It probably would have fit in the bed

only a 4 cylinder. Commie!!!

For it to be absurdly American you’d need some extra bald eagles, guns, obesity and crucifixes.

I was gonna say “looking at saws?”

No crucifix. That’s a Catholic thing and the pope is a socialist who hates freedom. Maybe some Jesus Fish and ignorance would be more apropos.

We typically just call them “crosses” unless they have Dead Jesus on them, but that’s mostly just a Catholic thing. Otherwise, spot on!

Those turbo diesels have so much power it’s intoxicating.

A Nash is probably the only old school microcar I actually lust over. Gimme!!! :D

One of the few older cars I can get my lady to agree on is the Metropolitan. In the future, I may just have to find one.
![]() 02/09/2017 at 12:38 |

You gonna put a K20 swap into that Nash?
![]() 02/09/2017 at 12:49 |

A Metropolitan is one of the many cars on my “slowly going mad”/”wasting an inheritance” dream list. I assume with the English DNA that the front lights are Lucas L488s or similar?

Pretty American, except that it might be Mexico in the background. Also, that’s a weird city to drive to for a Nash.

Cheap ones pop up every once in a while in Phoenix. There’s an all original one (including paint) with about 30k miles on it listed at $10k right now.

I’ve seen them as low as $1500, running. Of course, that one sold nigh-instantly and had some issues, but still. Also, I had a way more important $1500 car to buy recently, so no Metros for me. For now.

No, camera is pointing east haha... The border is like 10 miles south :)

Yep, driving back to LA now... 544 miles left before I reach my friend’s place lol

A ram HD was abit of an overkill to tow a Microcar, but any excuse is a good excuse.
but you are gonna ship that out to japan for rear?
might be one of the only ones over there if you do

The early ones didn’t have a trunk opening.
You’d have to shove all those Puffalumps in from the cab.

Cool Met. I had a Hudson badged one once upon a time. Damn fine cruiser.
![]() 02/09/2017 at 16:23 |

Looks like you could jam it in the bed of that truck.

Just a tiny bit too long :)

This just came up in my manual search, did you get that one cheaper? What is going rate for these?
